Subject: Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) Request
Dear Disclosure Officer:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I request that a true and correct copy of the following documents be provided to Me, without delay:
1.
Application
for the registered trademark “United States®” [sic] as shown on envelopes and forms
distributed via United States Mail in connection with the decennial Census,
a/k/a the actual Enumeration authorized by Article I, Section 2, Clause 3, in
the Constitution for the United States of America, as lawfully amended;
2. OPM Standard Form 61 APPOINTMENT AFFIDAVITS
executed by one Robert M. Groves upon occupying the office of Director, United
States Census, in the United States Department of Commerce in Washington,
D.C. See 5 U.S.C. §§ 2906,
3331, and Paperwork Reduction Act.
I request a waiver of all fees for this request.
Disclosure of the requested information to Me is in the public interest, because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations and activities of the federal government, and is not primarily in My commercial interest. See also 5 U.S.C. 552(a)(4)(B) [such statutes must be strictly construed].
