February 9, 1999 News Release |
Wing
mechanics and managers tighten pins that hold the first 767-400ER
(extended range) wing spar in its tooling. An overhead crane in the Boeing
factory in Everett, Wash. lowered the 82-foot spar and then guided it into
the automated spar-assembly tool. The first completed 767-400ER will roll
out of the factory in about six months.
