upon qualifying as a "Qui Tam Relator" under the U.S. False Claims Act

codified at 31 U.S.C. 3729 et seq.

 

 

For a relevant U.S. court authority, see U.S. ex rel. Madden v. General Dynamics Corp.:

 

 

"... qui tam relators are most properly classified as agents and not 'officers' of the United States."
