Dear Mr. Barksdale:

     Many thanks for your prompt response to my recent
voice mail inquiry.

     I have  been asked to correspond with you, in the
quest for  justice,  regarding the flagrant  copyright
violations  associated with Mr. Paul Andrew Mitchell's
intellectual property.

     I had  initially mailed  to you,  care  of  AOL's
office in Dulles, Virginia,  the legal brief outlining
injuries  caused   by  unauthorized   hosting  of  Mr.
Mitchell's book, "The Federal Zone:  Cracking the Code
of Internal  Revenue,"  at  Internet Domain DEOXY.ORG,
formerly hosted by AOL.

     The unauthorized  (and  modified)  copy  remained
there until March 16, 1999, in spite of Mr. Mitchell's
numerous written protests to AOL management.

     Mr.  Mitchell   has  suffered   severe  financial
hardship, and  related  consequential  damages,  as  a
direct  result   of  the   widespread  piracy  of  his
copyrights to this seminal work.

     For  your   information,  he  is  an  experienced
litigator, but would prefer to consummate a structured
settlement  with   AOL,  rather  than  to  endure  the
vagaries of the legal system.

     It was  my thought  that your extensive resources
within  AOL   would  be   beneficial  in   securing  a
"sensitive"  ear   within  their   system,  to   avoid
extensive  litigation   and  the   negative  publicity
associated with  violations of  the Copyright  Act  of
1976 and  also of  the Lanham  Act (for  modifying the
book without permission, and then falsely representing
the origins of the modified book).

     I would  be appreciative  of your comments and/or
recommendations, and  I will  be happy  to supply,  as
best I  can, any  additional documentation  you  might
need to substantiate the claim in this case.
