I am wholly unpersuaded by your plea for
mercy upon a hoarde of computer-based thieves.

Hey, friend, you're not starving and homeless
due to the cumulative effect of such
rationalizations as you have written below.
Having to go without food, because your
"friends" have just raided your bank account,
has a certain predictable effect on the brain.
"Tragedy of the commons" is a better descriptor.

So ...

... empty your wallet; yank the distributor
out of your car; throw away all the food
in your refrigerator; and flush your house
key down the toilet. Then, take a long walk
into the new, "friendly" America, and
then you will begin to walk in my moccasins.

I am not being metaphoric here, either.

When you can't pay the rent, and your
landlord is asking for the key, I doubt
whether you would be in any different mood.

I have been VERY patient for 8+ years, and now
I am going into warrior mode. By the way,
I don't threaten people: I have made them
reasonable settlement offers, and given them
reasonable and lawful notices. I should think
that you would know the difference between the
two by now. The sad reality is that I will not
be able to justify giving any "preference"
to people who spout some freedom line, and who
then trample all over my intellectual property,
just because they think I won't enforce those
rights, and/or they think I am some kind of
"nice guy" who wouldn't do such a thing.
Those who would think this way are wrong,
and hypocritical. Remember the New Testament:
the Lord will vomit hypocrites out of His mouth,
when the time comes. That is the judgment that
awaits those who would prosper from double
standards, or hide behind them.

Talk is cheap. We are now going to find
out who can really defend themselves in court,
and who cannot. It is going to be rather
gut-wrenching, I am afraid to say, particularly for
certain self-appointed scions of the freedom movement
[sic].
