Subject: TFZ

Thanks, Chris. No one, and I mean NO ONE,
ever got permission to post "The Federal Zone"
anywhere on the Internet, so we are now
systematically and methodically tracking
down every single reference. You would be
surprised at the number, and extent, of the
violators. Some are very large companies,
and I mean VERY large, including a few
major universities. Another is a very
successful Japanese software firm. The
restrictions stated in the Preface are very
clear: if people don't pay the author, they
are stealing, and no changes to the character
stream are permitted, except to change margins,
AT MOST. The extant versions are all in HTML!!!

Thanks, once again, for your help and your
concern. This is going to be a very large
scandal, when we go public with the results
of our investigation. And, of course, the
howling and hate mail have also begun.

p.s. We are changing the pen name as a
way of tracking the various versions
which make it onto the Internet.
