AFFIDAVIT OF AUTHOR
I, Paul Andrew Mitchell, am the sole Author of the book entitled “The Federal Zone: Cracking the Code of Internal Revenue.” On various occasions since December 1995 A.D., I have received electronic mail (“email”) messages from one “Lyle Myhr Jr.”, originating from email address of mttank@email.com, in which Mr. Myhr openly admitted to having possession of one or more electronic copies of this book, or component chapters, which he obtained via the Internet without My permission. Since then, I have been actively involved in investigating numerous Internet users and websites for transporting stolen and modified derivatives of this book across State lines. Such activity violates the Lanham Act, for false designation of origin, and the federal criminal Code at 18 U.S.C. 1962 (RICO) and 2319 (criminal copyright infringement). Section 2319 was added to the list of RICO predicate acts in July 1996 A.D. I have read the legislative history to this addition, and my reading of this history convinces me that Congress regards criminal copyright infringement, via the Internet, to be a very serious national problem, implicating organized crime. The electronic copies of which Mr. Myhr has admitted having possession, were not authentic copies of the book. Mr. Myhr has never paid for any authentic copies, and I have never sold or shipped any authentic copies of this book to Mr. Myhr, electronic or otherwise.
I, Paul Andrew Mitchell, hereby verify, under penalty of perjury, under the laws of the United States of America, without the “United States” (federal government), that the above statement of facts and laws is true and correct, according to the best of My current information, knowledge, and belief, so help me God, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1746(1).
