DATE:     December 16, 2001 A.D.

SUBJECT:  Copyright Claim

Dear Mr. Huss:

This is to inform you that I have not been paid by you, or anyone else, for the complex professional pleading which I authored, and which you later incorporated nearly verbatim as “Issue One” in your brief to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Warfield v. Edwards et al., Fifth Circuit case number #01-10973.

Accordingly, I have enclosed proof of My contribution to that case, with a COPYRIGHT notice conspicuously shown at the top of each page.

If I do not receive My standard retainer of $2,500.00 within thirty (30) calendar days of the above date, I will exercise My right to enforce collection of damages for theft of professional services and copyright infringement, most likely in the case of Mitchell v. AOL Time Warner, Inc. et al., DCUS Sacramento, Clerk’s Docket Number #CIV. S‑01‑1480 WBS DAD PS (filed on August 1, 2001 A.D.)

Please be advised that, in July 1996 A.D., Congress added criminal copyright infringement to the list of RICO predicate acts at 18 U.S.C. 1961 et seq.  See 18 U.S.C. 2319, in chief.

Thank you, Mr. Huss, for your prompt and professional consideration.

Sincerely yours,

/s/ Paul Andrew Mitchell
