Hello Steve Souther:

In re: http://supremelaw.org/letters/amnesty.htm
        http://supremelaw.org/fedzone9/amnesty.htm

The matter is not closed.

Your name is listed in the WHOIS database as an
individual responsible for Internet Domain
INNERCITE.COM. As of this morning, your address
is listed as both the Administrative Contact
and the Billing Contact for INNERCITE.COM.

Our documentary evidence shows that a valid link to
stolen and modified intellectual property was found
at Internet URL:

  http://spider.innercite.com/~cmraley/bmlist.htm

A lawful NOTICE AND DEMAND was directed to
you on July 13, 1998 (or thereabouts), at the
very same mailing address (4989 Golden Foothill
Parkway, #4).

You failed to produce a certified copy of
any written authorization(s) by this Author
to promote stolen and modified copies of the
book "The Federal Zone" at the above web page.

(I never gave any such authorizations. I am the
author.)

Past evidence of once valid links constitutes
probable cause to charge the individual(s) involved
with criminal copyright infringement, because
they never paid for the work in question, and
they have thereby aided and abetted interstate
traffic in stolen property and falsely identified
the true origins of the modified, derivative files,
all in violations of the Copyright Act of 1976 and
of the Lanham Act (false designation of origin).

See 18 U.S.C. 2319 for the criminal penalties
for copyright infringement:

    http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/18/2319.html

The Lanham Act authorizes an award of treble (triple)
damages. See 15 U.S.C. 1051 et seq. (uncodified).

Please review also the standards published by the
Software & Information Industry Association ("SIIA")
(formerly the Software Publishers Association)
to determine if you have any liability in this
matter, particularly as regards "shareware",
"indirect infringements", maintaining pirates
as ISP customers, and "linking".

The pertinent SIIA standards are found in documents
listed at the end of the Copyright Amnesty Program.
To repeat, see URL's:

     http://supremelaw.org/fedzone9/amnesty.htm

Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

/s/ Paul Andrew Mitchell, B.A., M.S.
