Given the rapid demolition of the building,
the photo is crucial historical evidence
of the nature of the explosion. The Pentagon
took great interest in that photo, specifically
because it shows how a bearing column failed,
even though it was further away from the
alleged epicenter of the explosion, than
other columns which did NOT fail. Any good
civil engineer would see this pattern in the
columns still standing. Without the photo,
this conclusion is very difficult to establish;
with it, a civil engineer could assemble a
reliable computer model, using blue prints
of the building's design, and reverse-engineer
the explosion. It was obvious to the Pentagon's
demolition experts that charges had been placed
inside the building. There is no other explanation
for the pattern of destruction. So, I respectfully
disagree: such photographic evidence will be quite
crucial to establishing the true source of the
blasts (plural).
