To be eligible for a seat in the House
of Representatives, you must be:

*  25 years old, at least
*  a Citizen [sic] of the United States at least 7 years
*  an inhabitant of the State in which you are elected

The term "United States" in these provisions means
"States united", i.e.  "Citizen of ONE OF the States united".
