Dear Eudora Ideas:

I don't particularly need to know the
time of each inbound email message,
although the date is something which
I do need and use.

I would like you to modify subsequent
versions of Eudora Pro to provide for
one, or the other, of the following:

1. In Tools/Options, a "date format",
    with several choices which include:

    (a) mm/dd/yy hh:mm AM|PM e.g. 8/10/97 09:10 AM
    (b) yy/mm/dd hh:mm AM|PM e.g. 97/08/10 09:10 AM
    (c) mm/dd/yy e.g. 8/10/97
    (d) yy/mm/dd e.g. 97/08/10

I would choose (a) as my default, because the
year does not change very often, and I could also
narrow the width of the Date column by eliminating
the time, which I do not use, by adjusting the width
with the mouse pointer.

This would then leave more room the the Subject column,
which always contains text which is too long for the
maximum width of that column, even if I disable display
of the server status. I count a gain of exactly 9 characters,
with this enhancement.

Thanks for considering this simple enhancement.

/s/ Paul Mitchell
