Benz had anti-locking brakes, for sure.
The coefficients of friction are
radically different, comparing new
tires on pavement, versus new tires
on fresh oil slick (20 weight Valvoline,
or BP's finest). Benz approaches slow-
moving car at high speed, hits the brakes
hard, to avoid a collision, and WHAMO!
the brakes LOCK, because tires have no traction,
defeating the anti-locking mechanisms. Car now
careens into a concrete pillar at 80 mph,
hitting it head-on, or at a slight angle;
the crash momentum spins the car into the
adjacent tunnel wall. Lack of seat belts
throws occupants at 10 g's into collapsed
windshield, crushing internal organs
which hemorrhage before emergency medical
technicians can arrive. Sole survivor has
tongue and lips ripped from his face, due
to immense force of the crash. Diana's
trachea is crushed, preventing air from
reaching her lungs. First man on the scene
is a physician, who correctly diagnoses
only part of the massive injuries. Thorough
background on said physician is in order.
Benz skid pad tests should commence asap.
Someone needs to track chain of possession
of oil soak and its current destination;
we need scientific estimate of oil volume
in the soaked sawdust. Very crucial, this!
