Subject: Federal Courts

The most comprehensive study of federal jurisdiction
which we have been able to find, was published in
1956 & 1957, during the Eisenhower Administration.
I believe the short title is "Jurisdiction over Federal
Areas within the States," Vols. I & II, done under auspices
of Attorney General Herbert Brownell, Jr. That team of
lawyers examined over 700 pertinent cases. It is a must read,
imho. It is tightly summarized in the first half of
Chapter 11 in "The Federal Zone". The Brownell study may
now be on the Internet, but I do not have the URL just now.
