Dear Friends in Washington state:

I got an anonymous fax today, signed by one
Representative Karen Schmidt, Chairman [sic],
Organized Crime Advisory Board, written
on stationery of the Washington State Patrol [sic],
to Washington State Senators and Representatives,
concerning "paper terrorism" [sic]. [NOT Petrol!]

Shudder!!! [Paper B-2 Bombers, maybe, with
body-piercing nose cones?]

Before I have a field day, tearing this memo apart
limb-from-limb, I want to make sure I am not chasing
a red herring here. I did bait my hook (how could
I refuse this opportunity?) by mailing to ChairMAN Karen
Schmidt, my recently filed OFFER TO PROVE RACKETEERING --
by some of DOJ's finest, currently huddled in the
downtown federal building in Los Angeles (City of
the Angels, remember?). [fake hand-off, ends streak,
down and out, laugh en route to bank]

Is this riotous memo, dated September 17, 1997,
bona fide, or not?

You will just have to wait patiently for a future
email message, in which I promise to perform my judicial
"I was attacked by an affidavit" act. This routine
is normally performed on stage, but you will have
my permission to use your imagination, to fill in
the blanks (OMB approval not required here).

Please stand by.

/s/ Paul Mitchell
