Subject: SLS: .ZIP suffix suggestion for Eudora
Cc: <eudora-suggest@qualcomm.com>

You can list .ZIP files by specifying:

"*.zip" in the "File Name:" of the
   File/Open and Message/Attach dialogue windows

The email address for Eudora suggestions is:

  <eudora-suggest@qualcomm.com>

Yours is a great idea. I would also like to
add my own suggestion:

  1. add .ASC as well to the list of suffixes

I prefer to use .TXT for ASCII text withOUT
line breaks, and .ASC for ASCII text with
line breaks at the end of each line. .TXT has
line breaks at the end of each paragraph only.

A Tools/Options setting for the user's default
suffix, for standard ASCII text files, would also
be a great feature. I prefer to go with a rather
rigid text format, with all ASCII right-justified
in a Courier 12-point grid, with one-inch margins
left and right. This maps nicely into low-level
DOS commands like EDIT, TYPE, and MORE, which are
universal. Files in this format have a .ASC suffix,
by my own convention.
