Mr. Turmel, you have written the following message, and posted it
on the Internet.

"You have excelled above all other Lawyers and Counselors at Law, by the
compilation and publication of the incredible 'Federal Zone' book. There
can be no dispute as to your legal standing in regard to the work that you
have so magnificently done in the field of law." [end of quote]
We regard this statement as probable cause to issue the following
formal Notice and Demand to you directly:
We have no record that you ever paid for the copy of "The Federal Zone,"
which you now appear to admit having read.
Demand is now made of you to show cause publicly, here, why you should
not be charged, and prosecuted civilly, for violating the conspicuous
Common Law copyrights which belong to the author. Confer at
"Common-law copyright" in Black's Law Dictionary, any edition;
see also Edgar H. Wood Associates Inc. v. Skene, 347 Mass. 351,
197 N.E.2d 886: equitable relief is available for violation of
common law copyright.
The author's Common Law copyrights are expressly and conspicuously
reserved in the Preface of all extant electronic and printed versions
ever released anywhere in the world.
If you have never read so much as a single word in said book,
please admit that this is the case, in public. The author
will take such an admission as a rebuttable claim that you do
not possess any unauthorized copies of its several chapters,
or parts thereof.
This Notice and the Demand are bona fide, genuine, and being
copied to real human witnesses to the fact of its transmission,
and publication, via the Internet.
You are also informed hereby that you do have the Right to remain
silent, that you have the right to an attorney, and that
anything which you say, or write, from this point forward,
can and will be held against you in a court of law, if the
author elects to enforce His rights in a court of competent
jurisdiction.
