Panama Canal, Isthmus of Panama (both ends)
Long Beach, California state (southern California)
Redwood City, California state (south San Francisco Bay)

All harbors are excellent all-weather ports,
with modern interstate highways within a 
short distance, and temperate climates.
The apex of this four-wind invasion will
be the Mississippi watershed, from New Orleans,
north to the Ohio Valley.
