Hi Nancy,

Here is another option which just
came up today.

Neil and Evelyn are driving to Dallas
for a seminar, leaving by car on
Tuesday, December 3, and arriving
on Wednesday, December 4, with one
night on the road.

They will leave to return between
noon and dusk on Saturday, December 7,
arriving Sunday evening, December 8.

I am invited to ride with them, either
one way, or both ways; in that way,
we can all share driving. They are
WONDERFUL to travel with: lots of
great laughs, beautiful new car,
good friendship.

So, I can save lots of money by sharing
their gas, and this would mean arriving
in Dallas on December 4, instead of
the Thanksgiving holiday. From there,
I could catch a plane/train/boat/car
to Macon, but it looks as if I will
miss NORML traveling on this schedule.
When does NORML wind up, and when
will you be back home? I can kill some
time by bringing lots of reading, and
staying in the hotel while they do
the seminar. Or, if I were to come to
NORML, assuming proper timing, I would
be happy to donate a 30-minute lecture
in exchange for the conference fee, and
maybe also a small honorarium. Or, we
could schedule a special study room.
You would have to arrange me as a
substitute speaker, however, or pull
strings to re-arrange the schedule.
I could address the two district courts
(15 minutes) and the Jury Selection and
Service Act (15 minutes). This should
get the audience totally stoked, yes?
After NORML (sounds like "after sanity"),
we could have some fun, and then I could
be back in Dallas to return with Neil and
Evelyn on Saturday, December 7.

Let me know. Your wish is my command.

/s/ Paul Mitchell

p.s. saving money is very attractive
to me right now (almost as attractive
as you)
