JD,
Thanks for the prompt response.
I don't have the money right now,
and don't really need it for
another 3 months. It just has
been my experience that the things
I need in this line of equipment
usually take a fair amount of
planning. I want to go to a
single letter drive on the largest,
fastest single spindle I can afford,
with room to expand easily, while
still maintaining a single letter
drive. If this means going to a
RAID controller, then so be it.
I am tired of struggling with artificial
barriers, when the technology is now
available to host a huge file store,
beneath a single DOS directory, e.g.
C:\FREEDOMS (that is the real name,
by the way). I thought you might like
that. I would prefer to stay away
from NT, if I can do what I want with
the new version of Windows 95 (I think
it is coded "Windows 950", but I am
not sure about that). Anyway, I do
appreciate your willingness to dream
with me. Our funds will depend a
lot on the turnout at the upcoming
Supreme Law Seminar in Atlanta, Georgia,
in January. See http://www.supremelaw.com
for details. I don't want to be forced
into DRVSPACE and its multi-letter
assignments of hard disk space. I had
to do that with my Pentium, and it has
become a pain in the bee-hind.
Later.
