In honor of Veterans Day, 1996,
would anyone mind terribly if
I re-posted the essay I wrote
on behalf of my father's story
among the first wave of Marines
to hit Iwo Jima, on his birthday
in 1945?  I will use majority rule 
(just this once :).  He was 26
years old that day.
