Recently a new resteraunt has opened in South Australia called "The Lone Star Steak House and Saloon". It is quite fun and great steaks but I have a flag querie. On the wall in addition to the current Texas flag they have another one which to me seems strange.
It Similar to the British Royal Navies White Ensign. A white flag with a red St Georges cross and the British union flag in the top corner nearest the staff. But then it has a star superimposed on each leg of the red cross. My knowledge of Texan history is sketchy but this seems a strange flag to be flown in a State with a Spanish background.
No one at the resteraunt can help. Can someone tell me if this in fact an old Texan flag
Thanks
Nick Carter
