I have never passed myself off as an expert when doing so might adversely impact the freedom and/or property of others. Nor am I so foolish as to believe I know all the answers, nor to believe changes can be gotten by 'trial and error' approaches in a court of law.
I have never attempted an 'aid of counsel' role, but then again I have never pushed anyone off a cliff either.
Has anyone else noticed Mr. Mitchell never uses the phrase "I don't know"? I sure wish I was that smart...
