Rep. Ron Paul, Congressman
c/o general delivery
U.S. House of Representatives
Washington, D.C.

Dear Rep. Paul:

I am writing to you concerning the President's affair
with Ms. Monica Lewinsky.

I do regard the President's sexual conduct to be his
own private business and, for this reason, I do not
think it proper to impeach a President for having an
affair with one of his girlfriends.

However, if Bill Clinton has lied to a federal grand jury,
and if Bill Clinton has also lied during a deposition
filed in federal court, I do believe that these acts
are criminal perjury, punishable under Title 18 of
the United States Code.

No one is above the law in America. The President,
in particular, is under oath faithfully to execute
the laws of the United States. See Oath of Office
Clause and Article II in the U.S. Constitution.

If the President is guilty of these crimes, I strongly
believe that a grave injustice will be done if he is
not made to suffer the consequences, just like anyone
else who flaunts federal laws as he has done.

As a government leader in a highly visible office,
perhaps THE most visible government office in the
entire world, Mr. Clinton will make a mockery of
justice and morality, if he is permitted to stay in
office after the evidence proves he is guilty.

This is NOT the kind of example which the federal
government should be allowed to set, at any time,
at any place in the world.

Even though these specific offenses (perjury and
obstruction of justice), are quite sufficient to
remove him from the office of President, in my
opinion, the sad chronicle of other White House
corruptions during Clinton's administration,
forces me to ask this one closing question:

"What other lies have you told us, Bill?"

Thank you for your careful consideration
in this matter.

Sincerely yours,

/s/ Paul Andrew Mitchell, B.A., M.S.
