I tried Irvin system, and it worked for awhile, but then things got messy. First the IRS file a Substitute Return, which it use to File A Notice of Levy on my bank account, home, and with my employer. The returns were total false (in fact on some of the tax years, I was actual do a refund). Although I challenge the Notice of Levy (as being a Notice and not a demand to withhold my property), the bank, my employer, and the credit bureaus all accept it as fact. When I contact the IRS to have the Levies removed and tried to get a payment agreement setup, the IRS refused and demanded that I file my tax returns. I first file d a amended return, but the IRS rejected it and said I had to file an Original Return (eventhough the IRS use it's Substitute Return as a method to obtain the Levy). I was, therefore, force to file my tax returns, and then forced to pay about $22,000 in back taxes (plus interest and penalties). Now, I never when to court to fight the Levy (or the Substitute Return) and that may have been my down fall. The IRS says that filing a tax return is based on Volunteer Compliance, however, I my experience show that there is nothing Volunteer about it. I wish you luck.
