I disagree with C.J. Taney in
Dred Scott v. Sanford.

The "People of the United States"
and
the "People of the United States of America",
are NOT one and the same.

See the Guarantee Clause, for proof.

The "United States" was understood
to be a separate entity during the
brief period when the Articles of
Confederation were in effect, and
this period pre-dated the writing
of the organic U.S. Constitution.
