I, like so many others, provided and used my SSN long after leaving US Naval Service. I bought a home under the GI Bill and the title company folks dutifully and with no compensation from IRS filled out the seemingly mandatory forms which included my SSN and my wife's also. About one year later I revoked my Social Security Number and my wife followed suit within a few weeks. Nothing happens on the existing loan. As a matter of fact, we later got a second mortgage on this home to add a spa/sauna rec. room and naturally told the lender that we had no SSN to give them. The loan went through in eight days and was subsequently resold to a pension plan in Texas.
Anyone revoking their SSN I would assume is doing so in a first step toward freeing theirselves from the forced volunteering associated with being a Federal Taxpayer and the only reason you would give two hoots about any form listing any interest paid on your home loan would be to itemize this amount on Schedule A of that horrid 1040 that has been the death of many individuals and quite possibly a reason for civil war in this nation within the foreseeable future.

For anyone revoking and then going after a loan, if the title company has a problem closing without your TIN (as they call it now) on that form, find another title company. You won't have to look too far and I would say you won't even have to get up from your seats at that title company. They (someone in that office) will find that getting the escrow closed and title recorded is more important than some BS form to an agency they could easily live without also.
