We now infer from the obvious obstruction we have experienced to date

that these NOTICEs OF BUDGET HEARING are being falsified,

evidently in an attempt to fabricate a demonstrably false "budget crisis"

when no such crisis really exists.

 

The recent library fiasco is one instance of these deliberate fabrications:

the unappropriated ending fund balance for that one year was more than enough

to pay for 50 library personnel, even assuming an FTE of $100,000 fully loaded

(50 weeks @ 40 hours  =  2,000 hours per FTE).

 

The reduction in the Sheriffs' budget for the current Fiscal Year is

another instance of the same:  increasing response times to future

911 dispatches is a statistically probable threat to public safety in general.
