: The new STATES created by the reconstruction acts write their name as The State of California, (instead of California State, or, California Republic) or in all caps (uppercase) as in THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, instead of proper upper and lowercase letters, and use abbreviations such as CA, TX, MT, KS, NJ, and so on, all of which are misnomers.

It is amusing, yet sad, to hear and/or see the illiterate pontificate on matters about which they have no knowledge. And the lack of knowledge is always so self-evident.

Please put up or shut up. Go dig some pre-civil war constitutions out of the archives and take a look at them. Let us know how many of them identify the political union known as the "state" with the word "state" following the proper noun instead of preceding it.
