First of all, I am new to this forum so my
questions have most likely been answered at
some point in the past. Second, I have been
unable to get the "post new message" function
to work and thus, this is not in the thread
of the previous post;

1. What is the consensus of the best book or
other reference which contians legally sound
strategies for dealing with the IRS and "state"
tax agencies ?

2. What is the significance, if any, of the
US passport certifying that I am a "citizen/
national of the United States" and is there an
alternative to this commonly issued passport
which is valid. (I have been told that there is
no such thing as a "state" passport) When one
applies for a passport this one is what you get
(unless maybe you you qualify for a diplomatic
passport). I can do without alot of things but I
must have a valid passport. Any thoughts of
these issues are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Stewart
