: While asking about the law that makes ANY Citizen liable for the taxes being collected by IRS, why not ask:
: 1. Whether the so-called Income Tax is a direct tax on people - subject to apportionment;
: 2. a Direct Tax on Property - subject to apportionment; or,
: 3. an indirect tax on activities of privilege (excises).
: Then ask what, if the last (3) be true, what the particular activity of American men and women is that is universally taxable.
: This should set someone to fiddling, fidgeting, scurrying, etc., etc.
